In addition to exhibiting large-scale sculptural structures created by artists and architects, Kivik Art Centre presents an annual program of temporary exhibitions during the summer months. This creates a dynamic dialogue in the theoretical discussion between art, architecture, and nature. The temporary artworks, encounters, and actions offer us the opportunity to view our surroundings and everyday life from different perspectives. This year’s temporary exhibition is themed Utopia/Dystopia, with Kivik Art Centre inviting three participants to jointly explore the subject.
In this exhibition, the participants will approach the site in different ways. Rina Eide Løvaasen
will install an intricate star system by the larger pond in the area.
Rahel Belatchew intends to work with a pavilion structure that can be used by visitors.
Agata Bielska , acting as a forager will show visitors the edible elements found in the natural environment and how to prepare these plants and herbs that we so often overlook in our everyday lives.
