Red Signal rises like a spear from the surrounding landscape. With its reduced form and strong colour, it creates a clear spatial marker — perhaps a warning. Through its strict geometry and monumental simplicity, the work alters our experience of the site and the way the viewer moves through the space. The sculpture is both an object and an intervention in the landscape, a concentrated expression of presence, boundary, and attention. Olle Blad is widely commissioned for public art projects in Sweden and across the Nordic region. Red Signal was a gift from the artist to Kivik Art Centre in 2025, as a tribute to the new site.
