Illusion, 2011, is a sound installation created by Kim Hedås specifically for Petra Gipp’s work Refugium.
The soundscape moves between the real and the unreal, the external and the internal, the near and the distant. It includes sampled sounds from urban traffic in Asia, which contrast sharply with the surrounding environment, as well as more tonal passages that follow the sounds of nature. The perspectives shift, creating a polyphonic, floating, and meditative form.
