With its yellow colour — which became Hubert Garnier’s signature — the five-metre-high gate marks the entrance to Kivik Art Centre. Hubert Garnier (1936–2024), an architect by profession, increasingly devoted himself to sculpture later in life. His strict steel constructions create tension, space, and new volumes within the voids. The work Lyckans Portar was created during the Covid pandemic, and Hubert Garnier himself never had the opportunity to see his gates installed at Kivik Art Centre.
