Just over twenty years ago, a group of enthusiastic art supporters formed the Kivik Art Association, with the aim of establishing an art and cultural centre in Kivik. After several intensive years, Kivik Art Centre’s first exhibition was inaugurated in 2007 under the name Kivik Start, offering experiences at the intersection of art, architecture, and nature — a defining characteristic of Kivik Art Centre. The exhibition activities are formally run by a foundation.

At the 2021 annual meeting, the association changed its name to Friends of Kivik Art Centre. The association’s members act as ambassadors for the Sculpture Park and its Art Gallery, and organise meetings, lectures, and other activities on the themes of art, architecture, landscape, and nature. The association is based in Kivik at Svabesholm, where the park is now also located. Our members are not only found in Skåne but across the rest of the country as well.

Friends of Kivik Art Centre is open to people of all ages with a broad interest in culture who wish to support our unique activities. Through our newsletter, we share what is coming up and invite members to openings and other events.
