Kivik Art Centre for kids
Bygga Konst / Land Arc Kids is a unique initiative that gives children and young people knowledge of, and an understanding of, art, architecture, nature, and the built environment, all shaped by sustainability and participation.
Together, we explore how form and structure interact with nature. Using the current works as a starting point, our experienced educators combine practical and theoretical activities — engaging both hands and minds.
How our workshops work
13:00 – Meet at the entrance to Kivik Art Centre.
A shared walk through the park with conversations about the current works. The walk ends with a moment for reflection and a fruit snack (we provide a piece of fruit and a drink).
14:15 – We head to Kivik Art Centre’s workshop and are introduced to the tools and materials.
14:30 – Practical work in the workshop.
16:30 – Review and a shared exhibition at the entrance to Kivik Art Centre.
17:00 – Closing and pick-up of the children (Wednesdays) at the entrance.
The programme is preliminary and may be adapted to the groups.
All activities for children and young people are free of charge.
All workshops can be booked if you would like to secure a place below. However, you are also welcome to simply come at 13:00 and join if space is available.
Maximum 15 participants per group. Please note that the minimum age is 7 years.
2026
This year we offer workshops every Wednesday and Saturday from 13:00 to 17:00 throughout the month of July. Based on this year’s temporary exhibition, two educators lead a cohesive workshop that includes both theory and hands-on practice.
Wednesdays are for kids and young people aged 7–19, while on Saturdays the whole family is welcome.
