With Bibliotheca – archaeological library In 2019, Ulla Viotti created a secret room where bookshelves holding over 2,000 “brick books” rise, accessible only through a narrow opening. On the spines are the names of around 60 Swedish authors, both historical and contemporary, embossed. Inside the room, the visitor finds themselves in a fortress, a defensive structure for literature and the freedom of expression.

Ulla Viotti’s work exists at the boundary between architecture and sculpture and often has a mysterious, slightly archaizing character.
